Dr. Christine Coker has worked in edible horticulture for over 24 years. After earning a Ph.D. in Horticulture from Auburn University in 2001, she began her career in research and Extension in Urban Horticulture at Mississippi State University’s Coastal Research and Extension Center. As Research Leader of the Beaumont Horticultural Unit, Christine conducted variety trials of vegetables, cut flowers, and other crops. She is the Station Coordinator of the Hammond Research Station and State Extension Vegetable Specialist.
