Cosmic Orange is an improved Cosmos sulphureus deserving a sunny site in your garden. Cosmic Orange attains a height of about 12-22 inches in a full-sun garden. The vigorous plants provide abundant, bright orange 2-inch blooms all summer. Basically pest and disease-free, Cosmic Orange is adaptable and easy-to-grow. This is a “no fuss” annual that will thrive on minimal care. Only water, sun, and fertile soil are needed for Cosmic Orange to bloom its head off all summer and into the fall.
In the North sow seed indoors 6-8 weeks before planting outside after threat of frost. Sow seed on sterile, soilless media. Keep media temperature at 70-72 degrees, cover seed with vermiculite or media. Maintain uniform moisture and expect to germinate in 5-8 days. After 4-5 weeks transplant into 3-4 inch containers. Plant in a full sun garden with well prepared, draining soil.
