The Saladin hybrid cucumber has spines that are white and inconspicuous and are slightly tapered at both ends. The seeds develop slowly in the cucumbers and are hardly noticeable until the fruits become large. The vigorous, spreading vines of Saladin resist scab and cucumber virus and are tolerant to both powdery mildew and bacterial wilt.
