HOW TO GROW
Bauer can be direct-seeded or transplanted and is broadly adapted for in-ground, raised bed, or container plantings. Lettuce seeds need light to germinate and should be planted 1/8 – 1/4 of an inch deep. Compact heads allow for tighter spacing than full-sized varieties. Heads should be harvested at mini to medium size for best flavor. It is recommended to plant multiple successions throughout the season for a continuous harvest.

- “I also tested in a home aeroponics system and this cultivar did brilliantly- the dense, compact growth makes this an excellent candidate for controlled environment production.”
