Terry R –
Even from a very early indoor sowing, plants had not developed very quickly for me, though I believe such had to do with my starting medium. These are otherwise real beauties in the garden or in containers and a flower that stops one in their tracks to admire! Unfortunately, not hardy in my far northern location, though easy enough to warrant growing as an annual. I had not planted them the last few seasons, though looking at older garden photos of mine, I again had to order up some seeds!
AAS Display Garden- River Valley Master Gardeners –
Blooms quickly the first year from seed. The large red flowers with the white throats really stand out in the garden.
We had a little problem with the large flower stems falling over in areas next to a building, but the plants grouped in open area of the garden are standing well. Expecting this plant to be even better next year. Zone 6a
