Turnip Tokyo Cross
1969 AAS Edible – Vegetable Winner
Turnip Tokyo Cross

An easy to grow turnip that is usually harvested when the bulb is about 2″ making it perfect for salads or steamed. Or let the bulbs continue to grow to maturity (6″) without the concern of becoming pithy. The leaves are delicious steamed like spinach. Turnip Tokyo Cross are cold tolerant and slow to bolt, so plant short rows from spring to fall and enjoy them all season long.
