Looking for a zinnia that offers it all? Meet Crestar Mix, a brand-new AAS Winner that combines the best of crested zinnias in one fantastic varietal mix. Crested zinnias, also known as scabiosa-flowered zinnias, are known for their distinctive semi-double blooms with a pronounced central disc. Crestar Mix brings together a vibrant palette of colors—including pink, orange, red, white, peach, and yellow—in a single planting. For a stunning display and a continuous supply of cut flowers all summer long, plant Crestar Mix in masse and try succession planting. These beauties boast large, striking blooms on healthy, robust plants that thrive even in summer’s heat and humidity.
This variety is also the recipient of the Fleuroselect award for performance in European trials.

minimizes wilting and helps the flowers retain their freshness
- “The variety of flower colors and shapes offers great interest!”
- “Large beautiful flowers of many colors. Has outlasted comparisons.”
- “The entry was better than the comparisons, longer bloom time and better quality flowers.”
- “Excellent flower color combination on healthy plants, no powdery mildew.”
- “Really cool looking bloom shape and a nice variety of colors, vigorous and healthy through most of the summer.”
- “Bright, bold blooms on compact plants well-suited for landscape and bedding. The first flush of blooms is high quality, almost all fully double. Flower quality is an improvement. Plants produced bright colorful double blooms over a long growing season and retained a more compact plant and higher bloom quality than either comparison. Entry continued to produce large double flowers during the summer season when both comparisons were producing mostly single or semi-double blooms.”
