Sometimes, interpretation is the key to creativity! In this case, the “Make an Entrance” theme was inspired by trolling through Facebook (“Facebook is always listening!”) and seeing celebrities walk the red carpet surrounded by the paparazzi and thus, the idea of a botanical red carpet was born. The red carpet (featuring AAS Winner Profusion Red zinnias) glam was accented by other plantings of AAS Winners that lent themselves to the theme, such as Tithonia Torch to “light the way”. Then another brainstorm led to the realization that Entrance can be interpreted as a noun (an entry) or as a verb (to fill with wonder) and that was carried out by plantings of hypnotic/Fibonacci-inspired spirals in ornamental peppers, petunias, and more. To round out the display, rainbow bands of color surrounded the centrally placed red carpet
