A Futile Trip

Please enjoy this poem written by Aaron Poe, a Student at Lee College Horticulture, one of our AAS Display Gardens.

As another gorgeous Indian Summer was about to begin,

The thought of a fantastic Fairy Tale feast caused a grin.

A strong Cheyenne Spirit filled the lovely Queen Sophia’s heart,

She sent tiny Hansel and mini Gretel to a four day away food mart.

Striking Bright Lights from a stunning Red Torch shined like a pretty Prairie Sun,

It produced a brilliant Ring of Fire in this beautiful Red Kingdom.

Arriving under bright Sunshine, the two filled carts with all each could see,

They turned Flaming Flare bright red when they realized they forgot to bring money.
