Summertime is Tomato Time!

Please enjoy this poem written by Aaron Poe, a Student at Lee College Horticulture, one of our AAS Display Gardens.

Want to grow delicious tomatoes that will please?

Without the worry of plant loss from disease?

A great variety that will grow with ease?

Worry no more; just plant these.

Galahad is a beefsteak that is loved in stews,

Mountain Merit slices on burgers is what to use.

Apple Yellow brightens up any salad you choose,

Jasper is a healthful snack with deep red hues.

One more to mention, its flavor peachy keen,

Juliet! It’s also the disease-resistant queen.

These tomatoes are the best used in any cuisine,

Say hello to summer and goodbye to spring.
